It’s a typical story ~ an idea that quickly outgrew itself.
When my cousin Carey needed help caring for her home and dog while she was away on a business trip,I took my trusty Boxer (Allie) along to care for Bear and keep the Round Oak fired for the week. When she returned she said, “You know, there’s a real need for this service here in the area.” And thus began my Housesitting and Pet Care Business, Gypsy Soul.
I posted my first ad on our local Front Porch Forum and was immediately overwhelmed. What I anticipated to be a part-time job became a scheduling nightmare. I was soon going from house to house with little time being spent at home! So I did what all growing businesses do – I reached out for help. By the end of that first year I had already created a network of two, and Gypsy Soul LLC was born.

Today, Gypsy Soul is a group of like-minded pet care providers with a common goal – to care for your pets when they need us most. We allow your anxious Terriers to remain in their safe space; your elderly Husky their own snuggly beds; your diabetic Tabby regular medications. We know that a kennel is not your first choice and we’re here to be the option you are looking for.
